Dear Michael Lerner,

The community of Streator, Illinois urges you to clean up your act.  You should be dedicated to providing quality care for seniors residing at Camelot Terrace.

Instead, you continue to try to cover up the harmful black mold and termites that make Camelot Terrace unsafe.  Please make Camelot Terrace a place where residents can recieve the quality care they deserve.

Choosing to place a loved one in a nursing home can be one of the hardest decisions a family ever has to make.  That decision should  not be made harder by the concern that the facility itself will make them more sick.

Unfortunately, that's exactly what's happening at Camelot Terrace.

Camelot Terrace is a nursing home located in Streator, Illinois owned by Michael Lerner.

Illinois law requires Michael Lerner to provide a safe and sanitary environment for residents, staff and the public at Camelot Terrace.

An Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) investigation found that Camelot Terrace has "excessive moisture and mold resulting from roof leakage in two of the four wings" and "damaging insect harborage."

They also found that Lerner tried to mislead the Department and instructed staff to lie to inspectors.
